RAY sun in the morning can help reduce high blood pressure, according to a new study conducted by scientists England.
They found that exposure to sunlight containing ultraviolet change the level of nitric oxide in the skin, blood vessels dilate and thus reduce hypertension.
"A small amount of NO (nitric oxide) is transferred from the skin to the blood circulation, decrease the rate of blood vessels," wrote the researchers, as quoted by Radio Pakistan, Saturday (14/02/2015).
The team analyzed 24 volunteers were exposed to ultraviolet light (UVA) from tanning lamps (embezzlers skin) during the two sessions of 20 minutes. In one session, the volunteers were exposed to both UVA and heat lamps. In the second session, the UV light is blocked so that only heat the skin of the participants.
These findings support the data of the relationship of blood pressure and cardiovascular disease, which is known to vary in the human population according to the season and latitude of the earth. Higher levels observed in the winter and in countries far from the equator, where the sun's ultraviolet lower.
