Mystery Moon Jupiter with 'Blood Stain'
Scientists have taken samples suspected to be the cause of a red stain on Taylor Glacier. Red stain on Taylor Glacier is reportedly extends along 54 kilometers in the Antarctic.
Reported TheRegister, Monday (03/09/2015), red stain is called Blood Falls and created as process material containing iron stuck in a sub-glacial lake. Scientists analyze, water Blood Falls in the past and found microbes that seem capable of performing metabolism of sulfur and iron. These microbes find a way to live without exposure to the sun's energy or oxygen. Microorganisms that exist in Antarctica and comes in the sub-glacial lake.Scientists are now researching the moon of Jupiter, the moon Europa and Saturn, Enceladus. Both the moon is believed to have similar conditions as experienced under the Taylor Glacier, Antarctica.Second month in the solar system was considered to be a viable candidate to have a liquid ocean under the ice crust. That month also be a place where life may have evolved.Learn more about what lies under the Taylor Glacier gives scientists the opportunity to find out if indeed there is life beyond Earth.
